Diana Chestner

Diana M. Chestner, age 50, of McKean, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

She was born in Buffalo, New York, on May 24, 1963, a daughter of Morris E. Ashline and the late Myrtis Kelly Ashline.

Diana was a graduate of Central Tech High School. She worked at the Saint Vincent Child Care Center for 28 years. She was passionate about the children she took care of who gave her a lot of enjoyment. She liked to go for walks with the family, have family dinners and look for beach glass. Diana also enjoyed camping, especially the camp fires.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband in February of 2000, Nathan H. Chestner, a sister, Mary Ann (Arthur) Boulebian, and her father-in-law Harvey Chestner.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her sons, Joseph Chestner and Zackary Chestner; fiancé, John Sitler; siblings, Robert (Mossie) Ashline, Rose Waddell, William (Debbie) Ashline, Sandra (Lou) Cooper, Linda Ashline, Phillis (Robert) Mosier, Mellisa (Joe) Vega and Trace (Darryl) Mosier, her mother-in-law Marian Chestner, sisters-in-law Robin Reynolds (Jim), and Melanie Wood (Steve), and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit the family on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 2816 Elmwood Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, or the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Ave., Erie PA 16505.
