Devonte Albert Duck, age 18 of Erie passed away on October 14, 2013. Born in Erie on February 22, 1995 the son of Lamona Jones Hubbart and Earnest M. Duck both of Erie. Devonte was a 2013 graduate of Central Tech High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends laughing and joking around and playing Xbox. His favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings and he enjoyed playing baskeball. He had an affectionate smile along with his big heart and was always wanting to help everyone. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Willa Mae Tate; maternal great grand parents, John G. and Maudie L. Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory to his parents; a dear and close stepdad, Iafari O. Hubbart, his girlfriend and mother of his child, Alisha Deboe; two brothers, Deonte M. Duck and Dondre O. Hubbart; a sister, Alicia Gruver; paternal grandparents, Della Quinn and Earnest Duck; maternal grandparents Elnora Jones and Albert Hampton; step-grandmother, Ida Faye Hubbart; great grandfather, Judge Tate. He is further survived by aunts, Angela and Yolanda Jones; uncles, Shannon and Albert Jones, Kenny and Curtis Duck, Limuel Henry, Michael Graham; many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 1962 Buffalo Road on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11 am to 1 pm and are invited to stay for services immediately following with Bishop Asa Jones, SR officiating. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
