Dennis Weber

October 1, 1945 — September 30, 2023

Dennis Weber passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

He fought a courageous battle against declining health, showing his trademark strength, selflessness and wit until the very end.

Denny was born on October 1, 1945 in Erie to the late Raymond Weber and Marjorie Jones Weber.

In addition to his parents Denny was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Weber.

He graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1964 and then joined the Navy Reserves in 1967 and was stationed aboard the USS Suribachi (AE-21).

He retired from Erie Sand & Gravel in 2008 as Marine Superintendent, following 32 years of employment.

When Denny retired he decided he needed a hobby so he started golfing. He enjoyed golfing with his son and grandsons.

Denny was a lifetime fan of the Cleveland Browns and Penn State Nittany Lions. If there is a big screen TV in heaven that’s where he’ll be!

Denny & Kathy loved hosting his famous TACO parties, great 4th of July picnics with amazing fireworks, all the dinners and parties with friends and extended family never too many people. We loved going to our favorite cottage every year at Canadohta Lake and traveling with family. He also enjoyed going to Murph’s Camp every year with the guys.

Denny belonged to the Sportsmans Club and The American Legion.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathy Zmijewski Weber. They were married in 1967 at St. Stanislaus Church. A loving father, Dennis is survived by his son Darren and wife Aida, his daughter Jennifer Jenkins and husband Mike and then of course, the loves of his life his grandsons, Matthew Weber and Jacob Jenkins and of course we have to include Brodie with Matt and Jake. He is further survived by his sister Chrissy Fish (Doug) and brother Kenny (Roni); best friends Jim & Dave and his many friends and relatives.

Denny will be dearly missed by everyone.
