Dennis Ochsenbein

Dennis J. Ochsenbein, "Ox" age 64, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at UPMC Hamot after an extended illness.

He was born in Erie, PA on March 21, 1950, son of the late Robert E. and Ruth Marshall Ochsenbein.

He graduated from McDowell High School class of 1968. Recently he graduated from Tri State Institute with a degree in Business Management.

Dennis was employed for 35 years at Erie Forge and Steel where he sat on the Board of Director’s and retired in 2002.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 773 for 23 years. He loved to watch football and baseball, particularly his favorite teams the New York Jets and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed attending car shows. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family & friends. In his earlier years he was a player for the Millcreek Fast Pitch League. Dennis loved his dog Buddy who was second only to his wife.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his mother in law Mildred Harpst.

He is survived by his wife Debra Peterson Ochsenbein, his brother Alan Ochsenbein and partner Brian; his nephews Anthoney and Jeremy; a son Ryan Peterson and three granddaughters Jenna, Savannah and Kaysy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 11th at the American Legion Post 773 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
