Dennis Kruse

Dennis J. Kruse, age 61, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on November 16, 1954 in Erie, PA, a son of Frederick W. and the late Kathleen A. Vigrass Kruse.

Dennis was a 1972 graduate of Fairview High School. He was employed as Head Custodian in the Fairview School District for 34 years until his retirement in January 2015. Dennis enjoyed muscle cars, auto shows, sports, Nascar, and spending time with his children. He was devoted to his pets. Dennis was a person of great generosity who was willing to help his friends in need. He will be fondly remembered by countless Fairview students and co-workers who enjoyed his helpfulness and humor.

Survivors include his son, Dennis S. Kruse of Tucson, AZ; his daughter, Lindsey M. Kruse of Erie; a grandson, Jayden S. Kruse of Tucson, AZ; his father, Frederick W. Kruse of Fairview; his brother, David A. Kruse of Eugene, OR; and his former wife, Cathy M. Kruse of Erie.

Friends and family are invited to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm and on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 pm with Reverend Ben DiStefano officiating. Private burial will be In Fairview Cemetery.
