Dennis J. Himrod

Dennis J. Himrod, beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, passed away peacefully on July 6, surrounded in love with his family in his hometown of Erie. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca; three children – Jeff (Susan), Jody (John), and Jay (Tracey); and nine grandchildren. He was preceded by his son, Jamie.

Dennis lived a wonderful and fulfilling life of over 77 years. He graduated from Academy High School and Gannon University. Dennis was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War, and had a 37 year career in finance at GE Transportation. He enjoyed fast pitch softball, walleyball, racquetball, and basketball. During retirement, Dennis and Rebecca could be found snow birding in Florida, walking on the beaches of Anna Maria Island, and fetching home run baseballs at Pirate City for their grandkids.
