Dennis Frantz

Dennis Frantz age 66, of Millcreek, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at UPMC Hamot following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Erie on September 24, 1947, a son of the late Howard and Esther Baker Frantz.

Dennis graduated from General McLane High School.

He retired from Zurn Industries after 33 ½ years of service.

Dennis was a member of the Millcreek Legion Post #773 and the Sportsman Athletic Club.

Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, but most of all, the time he spent with his special buddy/grandson Zachery, who he loved to play catch with and took on many trips to Walnut Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Krise.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Ackerman Frantz; two daughters, Brenda (Jack) Wilson of Albion and Rhonda (Dave) Bowersox of Erie; a son, Robert (Roxanne) of Meadville; four grandchildren, Zachery, Alex and Sara Wilson, and Joshua Bowersox. He will be greatly missed by all, but especially his two girls and faithful companions, Peekie and Sadie.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan Owen officiating. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
