Demario Ponder

DeMario L. Ponder, age 28, went to his Savior on Wednesday December 30, 2020.   He was born in Waynesboro, MS on February 15, 1992, a son of Daphne Ponder and the late Mario D. Gilliam.

He graduated from Strong Vincent High School and held various jobs in construction and restaurants including Bob Evans.   DeMario had a good sense of humor, always joking and laughing.  He was joyful while singing.  And had a lot of energy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Terry Gilliam and maternal grandfather Donald Clay.

DeMario is survived by his mother Daphne; brother Marquelle Ponder and sister Brandi Ponder; grandparents Joan Ponder and Glenda Gilliam; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends may call on the family on Monday January 4, 2021 from 11am until the time of the private service at 1pm at Abundant Life Ministries, 806 Parade St.   All CDC guidelines will be followed including wearing masks, social distancing and capacity limits.
