Delvon S. Henderson, age 55, of Erie, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016.
He was born December 13, 1960 in Erie, a son of Mary Alice Bell Henderson and the late Lee Isaac Henderson.
After graduating from Academy High School in 1978, he worked at Modern Industries in the Heat Treat Division for the last 28 years.
Delvon loved to play pool and played in the Valley Eight Ball Pool League. He enjoyed watching football was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Delvon was a very social person and loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and William (Sweet) Henderson; and two sisters, Mary Alice and Mary Ellen Henderson.
Delvon leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mary Alice, four daughters: Kysha, Devon (Clarence Lucas), Alyissa (Jarrett Allen) and Rakeysha Henderson; four sons: Jeremy Henderson, Eric Hayes Jr., Jalen Henderson (Asia Andrews) and Delvon Henderson II; six brothers: John Henderson (Darlean), Lee Henderson, James Henderson (Lula), Dennis Henderson, Jeff Graham and Billie Taylor; and nine sisters: Alice Faye Henderson Crockett, Pearl Henderson Hill, Arvilla Henderson Hines (Robert Hines), Deboralene Henderson, Virgie Henderson Gore, Brenda Webster, Paula Slupski and Janice Henderson-Trotter; he is further survived by thirteen grandchildren; his significant other Debra Chance many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd., in Erie on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1p.m. Rev. D.F. Hunter, pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.
