Debra Lynn Steiner

January 16, 1971 — August 8, 2023

Debra Lynn Coleman Steiner, age 52, passed away on August 8th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Debbie was born in Greensburg, PA, on January 16, 1971, to her parents Ronald V. Coleman and Betty Jane Wadeck.

Debbie graduated from Kiski Area High School. She received her BS and MBA from Gannon University, where she played varsity softball and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She also studied at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Debbie pursued a successful and influential career in business and supply-chain management. She enjoyed leadership roles at Gannon University SBDC, Deugro USA, and Penn State Ben Franklin Technology Partners. She thoroughly enjoyed each of her positions and colleagues. She especially enjoyed the opportunities to travel both domestically and internationally, including India, Japan, and Germany. Debbie was passionate about empowering and mentoring women in business for which she founded and led the Women in Leadership Development (W.I.L.D.) Conference. She also served as an adjunct business professor at Gannon University. Debbie also served on Erie County Enterprise Development Fund, the board of corporators for both UPMC Hamot and the former Saint Vincent Health Center. She is a past member of the governing board for Erie's Athena PowerLink program.

Family was by far the most important part of Debbie’s life. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Debbie had a wonderful marriage she cherished, three amazing daughters she was immensely proud of, and an adventurous life following her family wherever they may go. This included coaching her daughters’ softball teams, organizing several OLP Breakfast with Santa events and the Mercyhurst Preparatory School Women’s Basketball Think Pink Games. She also served on several committees including the Erie Saint’s Basketball Organization and Our Lady of Peace Parish. Debbie most looked forward to family gatherings, beach vacations, and reunions with close friends and sorority sisters.

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother-in-law David Roose.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jason W. Steiner; three daughters: Madison E., Elissa M., and Kaitlyn G.; brothers: Ronald V. (Chrissy) Coleman, Jr. and Edward H. (Megan) Coleman; and Linda Mastro. She is survived by her in-laws: Brad and Mary Jo Steiner; brother-in-law: John (Erin) Steiner; sisters-in-law: Jennifer Roose, Jill Brugger, and Jessica (Eric) DiLuzio; and all her nephews and nieces she greatly adored.
