Debra M. Mercer

Debra M. (D’Aurora) Mercer, age 69, of Erie passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at AHN St. Vincent. She was born June 24, 1955 in Erie the daughter of the late James J. and Anna (Saturday) D’Aurora. 

A lifelong resident of Erie, she had worked as a teacher’s aide with the Erie School District. Debra also enjoyed playing bingo and visiting garage sales for bargains. Her greatest joy was her two grandsons, Tyler and Carter whom she adored along with her beloved dog Max.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Mercer who died August 31, 2024.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hall and her husband Gregory of Erie along with their children, Tyler and Carter.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W.26th St. on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Further visiting on Friday at St. Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut St. from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
