Debra “Debbie” (Graham) Maund LaMont, age 59, of Cranesville and Conneaut, OH passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her residence with her furbaby, Sammie, at her side. She battled cancer for over a decade until it took her life away but that didn’t stop her from living a beautiful life.
She was born in Erie on September 27, 1962, a daughter of the late Janet (Fileger) Ryan and Charles W. Graham, Sr and grew up in pre-tornado Albion. Life was simpler then. She worked in housekeeping for the Day’s Inn in Conneaut, OH and the Green Roof Inn in Platea. She also worked at making the world a better place.
She enjoyed craftworking, her garden Gnomes, and spending every precious moment she could with her grandchildren: Savannah, Mackenzie, Hayden and Elliot. She was a guitar aficionado in her own mind, although it didn’t come through to the rest of us. She enjoyed Stephen King novels and movies (she had a dark side, as we all do.) She was much beloved to anyone that came into contact with her. You couldn’t take her anywhere in the tri-state area without her knowing someone. She will be sorely missed by all friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate, George Lamont, her oldest son Keith Strait, her mother Janet, and her brother David Graham. They are all together now.
She is survived by two sons: Michael Berry and his wife Ann of Cranesville; Shaun Berry and his wife Jessica of Conneaut; five brothers: Rick Graham and his wife Judy of Texas, Billy Graham of Albion, Gary Graham of Millcreek, James Graham of Conneaut; and Charles W. Graham, Jr and his wife Robyn of Saegertown. She also wanted me to include her friend and care-giver Stephen Stewart, who was a godsend to her.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and donations can be entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard.
