Deborah Marie Kraus Mansur, 51, of Plano, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Debby was born in Erie, PA on December 23, 1960, a daughter of Marilyn Way Kraus and the late Paul B. Kraus.
Debby was a 1979 graduate of Fairview High School and a 1983 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. For many years, she was Vice President of Sales at Emil Kraus & Sons, Inc. Promotional Products in Erie and Cary, NC. She married Robert N. Mansur in Cary on September 14, 2002.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Daniel, Joseph, and Paul Mansur. In addition to her mother, survivors include her brother Kevin Kraus and his wife, Pascale Ledeur Kraus, of Bethesda, MD; sister Kathy Sahlmann and her husband Kurt, and brother Jeff Kraus and his wife, Kim Oakes Kraus and nieces Caroline and Elizabeth Kraus, all of Erie. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta National Sorority and the Junior Leagues of Erie, Cary, and Plano. During her years in North Carolina, she served on the board of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Throughout her life, she participated in many community and philanthropic activities.
She especially enjoyed traveling, and had visited China, Mexico, Scandinavia, Italy, France, and other European cities. She was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Plano.
Debby enjoyed book clubs and Scrabble and was active in the Brinker Elementary School PTA. Her greatest joy was being a mother of triplets, born in 2005.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 7100 West Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16415.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to Holy Cross Church or Prince of Peace.
