David Tirpak

David R. Tirpak, age 74, of Girard, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015.

He was born in Erie, on July 25, 1940, the son of the late John and Margaret Turos Tirpak.

After graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was a tank operator. David retired from Lord Manufacturing Corporation as a machinist. He enjoyed classic cars, casinos, gambling and loved fishing and the great outdoors. David also enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Kern Tirpak; three sisters: Mary Ann Johnson, Diane Knight and Joan Tirpak; and one brother, John Tirpak, Sr.

David is survived by his son, William R. Tirpak, Sr., and daughter, Julie Tirpak; great grandchildren, Bobby Ryan, David Ryan and Billy Tirpak; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
