David W. Timko, age 52, of Millcreek, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born in Erie, on June 22, 1962, the son of the late Thomas and Anne Marie Lewachowicz Timko.
David graduated from Strong Vincent High School and worked inside sales at Perry Mill Supply for many years. Most recently, he was a self-employed landscaper.
He liked boating, hunting, fishing and watching game shows. David also enjoyed gardening, drawing, wood burning and helping others. Most of all, he was a loving husband and father. David loved animals especially his beloved dogs Domino and Lightening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father in law, William A. Baird.
David is survived by his wife Joan Baird Timko; a daughter, Lindley Anne (at home); a sister, Susan Sabatine; two brothers: Michael and his wife Marianne and Stephen and his wife Deborah, all of Erie; his mother in law, Doris Baird; sister in law, Barbara Baird of Vermont; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday, from 3 until the time of the service there at 6 pm with Rev. Michael DiMartinis officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family for Lindley’s college fund.
