David Teel

David L. Teel passed away at home on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born in Erie, October 12, 1953, a son of the late William and Phyllis Teel. Dave is a descendant of John Teel who moved to Erie in 1795, and maybe the biggest character with the biggest heart in family history.

Dave was a graduate of Edinboro University, an Air Force Veteran, Steeler, and Yankee Fan. He made fantastic wings while working at Hagerty’s. He loved to shoot pool, and always attended the Erie jazz Festival. Dave was very content in life, he read hundreds of books, loved to take drives on Presque Isle, and enjoyed drinking a cold one while star gazing at night. While a regular at the Beer Mug, he chatted up anyone and everyone, but he will be most remembered by family for his jokes and stories at every family event.

Dave is preceded in death by sisters, Charlene Valerio, and Beverly Joslin.

He is survived by his sister, Terry Welch, and brother Doug (Penny), a special niece, Jen Jude, and many other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
