David Paul Seib, age 68, of Erie, passed peacefully in his wife’s arms, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 18, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on August 11, 1956, a son of the late David and Dorothy Louise Webb Seib.
David graduated from McDowell High School in 1977. He worked as an auto mechanic for over 40 years at Romesburg Service Inc. and was also employed at Home for Independence. He was a 43 year member of Glenwood Methodist Church, participating in mission trips locally and nationwide. He was a volunteer with Kearsarge Fire Company for 20 years, Wesley Woods Church Camp, Team Rubicon Disaster Relief, Ramps of Hope at Glenwood, Koinonia #81 and the Early Response Team.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joyce Romesburg.
He’s survived by his wife of 47 years Peggy Sue Romesburg Seib; daughters: Gwendolyn Saft (Matthew) of Erie and Amanda Reynolds (Christopher) of Fredonia PA; 5 grandchildren: Caleb Vough, Spencer Saft, Afton Saft, Landen Reynolds and Mason Reynolds. He’s further survived by his siblings: Rae Lynn Belknap (Denny), Anita Keller (Jeffrey), Robin Seib all of Erie, and Donald Seib (Mary) of St. Louis MO., father-in-law, John Romesburg; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Anderson (Roger), and Brenda Wunch (Mike) and brother-in-law, Mark Romesburg (Sylvia). Also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd. Erie PA, 16510 on Thursday October 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Glenwood Methodist Church, 2931 Myrtle St., Erie, PA on Friday from 9:30 until time of service at 10:30 am with Rev. Matthew Judd & Jerry Gray co-officiating.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Committee on Relief, Ramps of Hope, Team Rubicon or any disaster relief response organization.
