David Sandiff

David L. Sandiff, age 74, of Millcreek passed away Saturday January 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie on August 14, 1943, the only son of the late Harriett (Bolan) and Ellsworth Sandiff.

Dave was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School in Erie and attended Brigham Young University as an art major before entering the U.S. Navy and serving from 1963 to 1965. He became a union construction electrician and retired from the IBEW Local 56 after 50 years of service.

Dave was a member of the American Legion Post 773, the Knights of St John and the Knights of St George. 

He was a loving husband, dad, and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, shooting pool and playing cards especially Euchre.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley A. Callum.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan of 48 years; daughter Mindy and her fiancé James Loeslein of Erie, son Tim and his fiancé Kelly Huth of Akron, OH and two grandchildren Casey Lynn and Tristan Procter. Dave is further survived by his sister Gwen (Joe) Wetzler of Van Nuys CA and sister Nancy Felstone of Rialto, CA along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26^th Street (at Powell Ave) Erie, PA 16506, Saturday, February 3^rd from 3pm to 5pm. Military honors will be presented at 5pm just outside the funeral home to conclude services.
