David Paterson

     David N. Paterson, 66, formerly of Erie, died on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Manor.  He was born on December 29, 1951, in Erie, son of the late Kenneth N. and Elsie Johnson Paterson.  He attended the Barber National Institute.  David enjoyed all kinds of sports.  He also enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance.

     In addition to his father, who died in 1997, and his birth mother, who died in 1959, he was preceded in death by his other mothers, Martha Turnbull Paterson in 1963 and Ruth Fobes Paterson in 2002.  He was further preceded in death by a brother, Tom Turnbull and a nephew, Christopher Fobes.

     Survivors include four brothers, William Paterson and wife Susan of Rocklin, CA, Leslie Fobes and wife Lois of Erie, Jon Fobes and wife Suanne of Naples, FL and Craig Turnbull and wife Susan of Morgantown, WV; a sister, Lucinda Fobes Magill and husband Michael of Granite Bay, CA; a sister-in-law, Korrine Vanderpool of Frisco, TX; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

     A Reception of Friends will be held at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service there at 2 p.m.  A Committal Service will be held immediately following at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Section 7.  The Rev. William Coleman of Luther Memorial Church will officiate.
