David Gauriloff, Jr.

David Gauriloff, Jr., age 71, passed away on December 10, 2022 at his son’s home in Girard, PA. He was born in Erie on December 8, 1951 the son of Martha (Karuba) Gauriloff and the late David Gauriloff, Sr.

A lifelong resident of Erie, David attended the Erie Day School and Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, OH.  Following graduation, he attended Gannon University.  David was employed at Autoclave Engineering.  Following his many years at Autoclave, and because of his love of fishing, he worked at BAC bait shop and later Trout Run Bait & Tackle. David was an avid fisherman who loved fly fishing and fly tying.  His favorite fish to catch were native brook trout using the flies he tied.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether in the backyard garden and koi pond he designed or spending time at Presque Isle observing the wildlife.  David also enjoyed feeding and watching birds that came to his backyard feeders.  He was also a sports enthusiast, participating and watching sports of all kinds, especially golf and baseball.

Beside his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Larry P. Gauriloff, who passed away in August of this year.

David is survived by his mother, Martha (Karuba) Gauriloff of Erie, a son, Timothy D. Gauriloff (Karen) of Girard and two daughters, Meghan A. Badolato of Wickliffe, OH and Kathleen (Katie) E. Gauriloff of Erie. He is the proud Jeda of granddaughters, Grace and Frankie Badolato. He is also survived by his brother, Frederic Gauriloff (Karen) of Fairview, sister-in-law Patty Flanagan of Erie and two nieces, Anna (Bryan) Caporuscio and Lizzie (Alex) Nesvisky.

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West Ninth and Liberty Streets, on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at which time funeral services will be held.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie, the 3-C-U Trout Association, or the VNA Hospice of Erie County.
