David Joseph Felix Sr., age 70, of Erie passed on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on March 12, 1951, a son of the late Jennie and Joe Felix.
Dave graduated from Tech Memorial and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an electrical technician for Amsco/Steris for 40 years and GE Transportation for 10 years. He’s been retired for 4 years.
Dave’s family meant the world to him and he enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren and tending to his gardens at his Millcreek home. There wasn’t much Dave couldn’t fix and was a great do-it -yourselfer. Dave enjoyed the simple things in life and his favorite moments were sharing a homemade Italian meal with his loved ones. He was forever selfless and loving, caring more about others than himself. He also was a lifelong Yankee fan.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, whom have been married 50 years. Son, Michael of Great Falls, MT, Son, David Jr. (Carolyn) of Gibsonia PA and daughter, Ashley (Jacob) Sheridan of Painesville, OH. He also has 4 grandchildren, Brennan & Sarah Felix of Erath, LA. David Felix III of Gibsonia, PA, and Tessa Sheridan of Painesville, OH. He is also survived by sisters, Mary Fensel of McKean PA, and Jackie (Ronald) Graff of McKean PA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 3801 W. 26th Street on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral mass on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church 2401 W. 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
