David "D.J." Bogue, age 37, of Erie, died on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on February 26, 1980, in Erie, son of Tammy Stewart and the late David T. Bogue. A 1998 graduate of Tech Memorial High School, he worked as a concrete finisher for Stewart Masonry and most recently Empire Construction. DJ was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 773, was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the San Francisco 49ers, and enjoyed collecting coins and working outdoors. The love of his life was his daughter Cassidy.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie Bryson, James Stewart, and Richard and Joyce Lydick Bogue, and a cousin, Jennifer Perry.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy Stewart, his daughter, Cassidy Bogue and his sister, Rochelle Bogue, all of Erie, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is further survived by many friends and special people in his life including April Kapsar, Laurie Garber and Laurie Stewart.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace, 2401 W. 38th St., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 5 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St.
