David Barnes

David Allen Barnes, age 49, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2013 at Saint Vincent Health Center of an apparent heart attack that started at his home Friday evening.

He was born in Erie, PA on July 30, 1963 son of the late John T. and Virginia Woods Barnes.

He attended Strong Vincent and McDowell High Schools and then went on to be founder and owner of Barnes Printing.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardener. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and loved working with his hands.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years Michele Copeck Barnes; a son Calvin T. Barnes, a daughter Karen Marie Barnes all of Girard; two brothers: Scott Barnes and his wife JoAnn and Mark Barnes, both of Erie: and a sister Debra Barnes Frantzen of Girard; his parents in law, Thomas and Lavon Copeck of Erie. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 East Main Street Girard on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the All Faiths Chapel. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
