Between the Birth Date and the death Date there is a Dash Wherein Lies Our Life and Legacy.
In his younger days, Dave enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and his teen years were dedicated to riding his Harley. He was proud of his Harley 25,000 Mile Club Membership.
David attended East High School after which he joined the IBEW Union Local 1319 and worked from Penna to Missouri installing the new telephone lines and removing the old crank phones. During this time he qualified as a Journeyman Lineman.
David served in the United States Army at Fort Gordon, GA where he was an instructor in the Signal Corps. While there, he shot on both the post rifle and pistol teams, winning many awards and matches. In ’57 he won in pistol in the National Matches at Camp Perry, O.
Dave worked many years building substations for various contractors throughout the North East and Mid-Atlantic States. For a number of years he owned and operated a building and excavating business. He built the home on the family farm and the dairy barn that housed the herd of purebred Jersey Cattle.
When he retired, he found time to peruse his lifelong hobby, woodworking. He was a skilled and dedicated craftsman. He built himself a workshop and spent many happy hours there.
David loved to work and always dedicated to excellence, he gave his best effort to whatever job was at hand. That’s the Legacy in his Dash.
Rest in Peace, Dad….You Earned it. You are Loved and Missed.
