David P. Baker, age 52, of Delaware, OH and formerly of Erie, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in Delaware, OH. David was born in Erie, February 19, 1966, the son of Margaret (Bresnan) Baker and the late Ernest H. Baker.
David attended Penn State Behrend and graduated in 1988. He worked for Erie Insurance as a Senior District Sales Manager, earning the titles CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and AU (Associate Underwriter). He relocated to Delaware, OH due to a job opportunity and has lived there with his family for the last three years. He was the most loving, caring, and devoted husband and father. He was a former usher at Blessed Sacrament and was a member at the Zukor Club. David loved to travel, was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, and was quite the classic car enthusiast, particularly Chevelles.
David is preceded in death by his father, Ernest, maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Jane Bresnan, paternal grandparents, Herbert and Irene Baker, and his aunt Nancy Shaffer. David is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen (Kunz) Baker of 28 years, and their children; Zachary Baker of Baltimore, MD, Rachel Baker of Columbus, OH, and Veronica Baker of Delaware, OH. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret, and his siblings, Dr. Mark Baker (Valerie), Michael Baker (Sherri), Lynn Dietz (William), and Mary Claudio (Evan), all of Erie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th and Liberty St., on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Monday at 11:00AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1626 West 26th St. Burial will be Private.
