Darrell Moffett

Darrell Moffett, age 59, of Erie, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 21, 2024, after an extended illness surrounded by his family. He was born on January 19, 1965, in Erie, a son of Mattie Henderson Moffett and the late Edward Moffett. 

Darrell was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and worked for Hamot and the Surgery Center as a Central Processing Tech. He enjoyed fishing, football and being with his family, especially watching his grandson play football.

In addition to his father, Darrell is preceded in death by his brother, Edward A. Moffett; aunt, Shirley Moffett and cousins, William R. “Sweet” Henderson, Ernest L. Evans, Dwayne Moffett, Calvin Moffett and Delvon Henderson. 

Along with his mother, he is survived by his children, Darrell L. Moffett (mother, LaShawn), Kris Mask, Edward A. Moffett II and Jasmine Moffett; sisters, Yolanda Flemings and Lasonya Moffett; grandson, Emory Moffett; granddaughters, Karionna Moffett and Mia Moffett and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He is further survived by the mother of his two youngest children and lifelong friend, Brenda Hogan and many caring co-workers and friends. 

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th St. from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
