Darlene Weaver

Darlene Dobry Rutkowski Weaver, age 70, of Lake City, passed away unexpected, Sunday November 19, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Erie PA, on October 11, 1947 a daughter of the late Michael F. and Hattie Olzewski Dobry.

Darlene was a 1966 graduate of East High School and worked as a surgical technician for UPMC Hamot from 1967 until January 2000, and in the Surgery Center at UPMC Hamot since 2000.  She loved her dogs and cats, liked to crotchet and enjoyed spending time with special friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Edwin James “Sonny” Rutkowski; a sister Dianne Dobry Thomas; and a special aunt Dolores Volkman.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Lawrence D. Weaver; and a special aunt Loretta Olszewski; and many special cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at 2pm. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
