Darlene Pruyn

Darlene J. Pruyn, age 73, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

She was born in Coudersport, PA on June 10, 1948 a daughter of the late Mead and Julia Blythe Cochran.

She was a lifelong employee at General Electric.  She was a member of the Erie Yacht Club and member of the NRA. She also enjoyed sail boating and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pruyn in 2015, grandsons Joshua Erich and Matthew Pruyn, a granddaughter, Michelle Ando and by her beloved cat Annie.

She is survived by one daughter, Renee Ando (Mike) of Lancaster, NY, two step-children, Kathy Blakeslee (Lance) of North East, PA and Mark Pruyn (Sherry) of Erie, PA; grandchildren: Zach and Logan Erich, Michael Ando, Joshua and Nicholas Pruyn. Amanda and Brad Sirca and Elle Blakeslee and a great-grandchild, Riley Nicole Erich. Three sisters, Rose Tanner, Sue Grimm and Sally Cochran and a brother Jim (Rhonda) Cochran and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road Erie, Pa 16510 on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of service there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
