Dante A. Parrini, age 79, of Erie died on Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born March 26, 1936 in Erie the son of the late Dante C. and Rose DiLeva Parrini.
Dante was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and had formerly managed the Nouva Aurora Club. He later owned the Hideaway Tavern and after selling it, he worked for the City of Erie at the Wastewater Treatment plant. Dante loved automobiles and also operated Dan Parrini Auto Sales in North East.
His family meant everything to him and he was especially proud of his Italian heritage having been a member of the 18th Street All- Stars.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Olga Adamus.
Dante is survived by his wife, Joan Tadman Parrini; a daughter, Natalie San Pietro of Seattle, WA and two sons; Dante C. Parrini and his wife Brenda of York, PA and Mark J. Parrini and his wife Annette of Cary, NC. He is the proud grandfather of Lauren E. and Joseph D. Parrini and is also survived by a sister, Ilma Hersperger of Wausau, WI.
There was no visitation. Funeral services were private with burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505 or to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 W.12th St., Erie, PA 16505.
