Daniel Wiley

Daniel T. Wiley, age 64, of Millcreek passed away Saturday February 1st, 2014 following a short and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Erie on December 4, 1949 son of the late David B. and Isabel Grace Wiley. Dan graduated from McDowell High School, served is the United States Army in Vietnam and was an electrician with the IBEW Local 56, retiring in 2003.

Dan’s greatest enjoyment in life was his family and he loved spending his time with them, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew Kyle Rohan.

Dan is survived by his wife of 44 years Nancy Hurn Wiley; two sons Christopher and Timothy Wiley; a daughter Megan Wiley; three grandchildren Gabriel, Jonathan Daniel and Sean; two sisters Maryanne Riazzi and Pattilee Rohan and her husband Tom; and two brothers David Wiley and his wife Anna and Jeff Wiley. He is further survived by a godson Sean Wiley; a goddaughter Tina O’Sullivan and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 until the time of the service at 8:00 pm with Rev. Michael DiMartines officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
