Daniel Whiteman

Daniel Lee "Danny" Whiteman, age 46, of Millcreek, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, on August 28, 1966, a son of the late Byron and Lorraine York Whiteman.

He was a 1984 graduate of McDowell High School.

Danny worked at Harley-Davidson of Erie as the sales manager for the past 5 years and was also the former owner of Powell Avenue Garage.

Danny had a big heart and loved his children, wife and family more than anything in the world. In addition, he was a huge Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed restoring motorcycles and loved riding his Harley. Danny was a member of the Lake Erie Lodge No. 347 F. & A.M.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Wolf Whiteman; three children Ashley, Joseph, and Emma, all at home; a brother Eddie Whiteman and his wife Barb Maksin. He is further survived by his Aunt Gloria Salapek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Moelk of Church of the Cross officiating.

Burial will be private at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Daniel Whiteman Memorial Fund at any First National Bank of PA branch or in care of Burton Westlake Funeral Home.
