Daniel Mclaughlin

Daniel P. McLaughlin, age 76, passed away Friday January 31, 2020, after a twenty battle with Parkinson's Disease; in which his wife, Rebecca and son Daniel Jr. had cared for him at home throughout his decline. He was born in Erie, PA on August 10, 1943, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth McLaughlin.

Dan attended Erie Cathedral Prep and Wesleyville High School. Dan enlisted in the U.S. Army and he served on The 5th Special Forces Green Beret; in which he was awarded the Silver Star from President Johnson and two Purple Hearts during the Vietnam War. He was self employed and had owned multiple businesses with his wife.

Dan will be remembered by the love of life, Rebecca, of 51 years and sons, Scott (Melissa) and Daniel. He was fondly remembered by his two Granddaughters , Aidanne and Brywn, by his sisters Carol (Dr. Timothy) Carney and Patti (John) Jugenheimer and sister in laws and brother in laws Susan (Michel) Fulford and Susan (Daniel) Beard and Joseph Beard, He was survived by many nieces, nephews and dearest friends, Jim and Sharyn Gillette to name a few.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, on Friday, June 16th, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service there at 12:30 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
