Daniel Morris Landsberg, age 95, of Erie, died on Monday March 19, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 5, 1922, a son of the late Morris and Rose Landsberg.
Daniel graduated from Academy High School in 1940 and attended classes at Gannon College. He proudly enlisted and served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was the owner of M. Landsberg & Son in Corry, PA.
He was an active member of Temple Anshe Hesed, attending Jewish Community Council events and participating in the Men's Club. He was a lifelong learner, enjoying reading and studying Hebrew. He played tennis and enjoyed travel and time with family and friends. He and his wife were long-time season ticket holders of the Erie Philharmonic and enjoyed spending summers in Chautauqua.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Sally Law. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Evelyn Dubin Landsberg, his niece and nephews: Joan Jacobus, Jeffrey Jacobus and his wife Carrie, Marc Jacobus and his wife Brenda, Jeff Law and his wife Diane Lanoue, and Averill Law and his wife Steffi. He is further survived by great nieces and nephews: Michael Jacobus, Melanie Viloria and her husband Eric, Belinda Rogers and her husband Matthew, Alexander Jacobus-Oseroff, Zachary Jacobus-Oseroff, Emily Geiger and her husband David III, Jillian Law and her husband Mark Grygier, and Parker Law and 6 great-great nephews and niece.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Friday March 23, 2018 at Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th St. from 11am until the time of the service at 12 Noon, with Rabbi Emily Lobsen-Ostrov officiating. Burial in C.B.S. Cemetery, 26th and Asbury.
