Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson, Jr., age 60, of Erie, passed away, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness.

He was born in Sandusky, OH on August 28, 1954, a son of the late Daniel and Eddie Lee Crosby Johnson, Sr.

Daniel attended Sandusky High School and worked in the construction industry for Johnson Brothers Construction. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.

He enjoyed music, playing drums, singing and dancing. He was a very active person who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Harvey and a brother, Jerry Louis Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, four sisters: Florean Johnson, Jerdean Johnson, Bertha L. Henley, and Brenda (Tim) Barnes; four brothers: Javain (Christine) Webb, Andrew C. Johnson, James New, and Cass (Deborah) Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 W. 10th. St., on Thursday from 11 am until the time of the home going celebration at 1 pm with Rev. James Stapp, Jr. Celebrating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
