Daniel Bishop age 76 of Erie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Willoughby, OH on November 21, 1944 a son of the late Robert and Betty Webster Bishop.
He was a 1962 graduate of Northwestern High School and went on to serve in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a 101st Airborne Ranger.
Daniel had owned his own body shop and garage, sold real-estate and was the current owner of 21 Hampton Bar.
He was a member of all the local VFW’s and American Legion’s and he served as Chaplain for the Fairview Legion Riders.
Daniel enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Bishop; 2 sisters, Deborah Mohr and Betsy Bishop and a brother, David Bishop.
He is survived by his wife Kendra Heinlein Bishop; a son, Daniel Bishop, Jr. and his wife Nikky; a daughter, Amber Heinlein; four sisters, Diana Yazembiak, Rachel Pittsenbarger and her husband John, Rhoda McIntire and Sarah McDivitt and her husband John; six grandchildren, Megan, Aaron, Nathan, Sadie, Lexi and Danny; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. followed by full Military Honors.
