Dale R. Gorman, age 85, of Venice, FL (formerly of Edinboro) passed away April 30th, 2016.
He was born in Erie, August 31, 1930 son of the late Rexford and Genevieve (Merket) Gorman.
Dale owned and operated his own business in Edinboro. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Edinboro and a former member of the Edinboro Lions Club.
He enjoyed playing cards, shuffleboard, hunting and fishing; and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Dale DeMille.
Dale was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy whom he married on September 4, 1950. He is also survived by his son Dan Gorman (Paula) of Erie, daughter Darlene Kraut (David) of Erie; a brother Howard Gorman of Erie; four grandchildren: Kevin Gorman (Kara) of Erie, Denise Casey (Matthew) of Florida, Matthew Kuffer (Olga) of Edinboro and Kari Poland of McKean; three step-grandchildren: Robert Mellesh of Erie, Joseph Mellesh of Erie, and David Kraut of Cleveland, OH; 9 great-grandchildren, 5 step- great-grandchildren; and a cousin Don Gorman of Erie.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service Saturday May 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Presbyterian Church of Edinboro with Reverend Matt Falco officiating.
