Dale Cage

January 13, 1935 — February 10, 2022

Dale Clinton Cage, 87 of Fairview PA., passed away at home on February 10, 2022. Son of the late Archie D. and Antoinette Metzler Cage. 

Dale graduated from Millcreek High School and attended Penn State Behrend and Gannon University.  He served in the United States National Guard.  Dale spent 34 years at National Fuel Gas Company as a general foreman and supervisor. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved golfing, boating, hunting, and fishing. He was past president of the Erie Skeet & Trap club and received many PA marksman awards. He was a member of the Erie Yacht Club for more than 50 years. Dale attended Wayside Presbyterian Church. 

Dale and his wife Sally wintered in Marco Island, FL for over 24 years where he was a member of the Marco Cruise Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carolyn Fulton Cage; brother, Alan Cage and sister, Trudy Long. 

His grandson Alex passed a day later to be in heaven with his Grandfather. 

Dale is survived by his wife of 57 years Sally Masi Cage; his children: Cynthia Masi McKeown and husband Sean of Marco Island, FL., Jay Masi and his wife Leslie of Marco Island, FL., Melanie Cage Schumacher and husband Bob Griffin of Noblesville, IN., Joy Masi Malena and husband Frank of Erie, PA., and daughter- in-law Sharyn Masi of Erie, PA.  Ten grandchildren; Jay Michael Masi and wife Stephanie; Heather Smith and husband Galen Garretson; Hallie Smith; Jonathan Weibel and wife Maeghan; Bradley Smith; Chelsea Schumacher; Ryan Schumacher; Brienna Weibel Puskaric and husband Kevin; Rachel Weibel; Nicholas Masi and several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Marco Island, FL. and Erie, PA.

Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date with arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie. 

Memorials may be made to Wayside Presbyterian Church, 1208 Asbury Road, Erie, PA 16505.
