D. Jeanne Ingram, age 91, of Erie passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Sarah Reed Retirement Center. She was born January 11, 1931 in Oil City, PA the daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy (Linehan) Shettler.
Prior to her marriage, Jeanne had worked at GTE in Oil City and sang on a radio program (Dream with Jeanne) on the local station in Oil City, and also at WLEU in Erie. She was a member of the former Maennerchor Auxiliary, and also Lake Shore Country Club where she enjoyed the game of golf.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Ingram who died in 1989, and later by her longtime companion, Joseph Kohler who died in 2012. She was also preceded by her sisters Pamela Clarke and Mary Jo Petulla and brother- in- law, William Clarke.
Jeanne is survived by her four daughters; Stephanie Ingram of Erie, Beth Jarzomski (Dave) of Zephyrhills, FL, Lisa Ingram Scalzitti of Erie, and Shelley Wroblewski (Lenny) of Clymer, NY.
Also survived by her brother- in-law, Edward Petulla of Lady Lake FL
She is further survived by her grandchildren; Jim Vollant ( Holly), Brett Vollant (Jamie), Christopher Vollant, Andrew Vollant, Erika Donahue ( Greg), Justin Morgan ( Carolyn), Michael Jarzomski (Melissa), Kevin Jarzomski (Kate), Marc Lawson, Nick Lawson ( Meghan), Nicole Barbato, T.J. Scalzitti ( Alexandra), and Carla Scalzitti along with 16 great- grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.
Jeanne’s family would like to thank and acknowledge all the love and wonderful care provided by Lisa Fortunato, her longtime caregiver who also became her best friend.
Friends are invited to call at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2801 West 6th St. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12 noon at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
