Cynthia MacDonald Rodgers, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center.
She was born in Erie on November 15, 1947, a daughter of the late Donald Elon and Ruth Farr MacDonald.
Cynthia graduated from Fairview High School and obtained her Cosmetology License. She owned Golden Comb for 12 years and then went on to work at Giant Eagle as a cake decorator for 16 years, retiring in 2010.
She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, shopping; and of course her love of wine. Cynthia loved visiting her sister in Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katharine Rodgers in 2009 and a brother, Thomas Elon MacDonald.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Rodgers; her daughter Emily Rodgers of Girard; and her sister, Kate Cramer and her husband Keith of Indiana. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Thursday from 2-4 and 6pm until the time of the service at 8pm.
