Cynthia Moores

Cynthia L. “Cindy” Moores, age 61, of Girard, passed away Thursday November 16, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Girard, on December 1, 1955 a daughter of the late Robert J. Moores and Joyce M. English Olesnanik.

Cindy graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1973.  After graduation, she was employed by Girard School District for 33 years as a custodian, retiring in 2010 due to health problems.

She loved to read and write letters to family.  Cindy loved her animals, Baron, Chester and Max.  She could be seen walking Baron around the neighborhood twice daily.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harry and Ocie English and a special cousin, Betty Reynolds.

Cindy is survived by her sisters, Sharon L. Trojanovich and her husband, Terry of Fairview and Susan Steadman and her husband, Charlie of Union City; and her step father, William Olesnanik of Girard.  She is further survived by a niece, Meghan Kremer and her husband Matthew of Millcreek and nephew, Michael Moores of Girard; and soon to be great nephew, Lucas.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Monday from 1-3pm and 5 until the time of the service at 7pm.

Private inurnment will be at Girard Cemetery.
