Cynthia "Abby" Mears

Cynthia “Abby” Mears, age 37, of Fairview, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence.  She was born in Erie on February 12, 1986, the only daughter of Donna Letto Peters and the late Earl Campbell. 

She was a graduate of East High School and Gannon University. She worked for ten years as the regional manager at Tim Hortons in Meadville before beginning her courageous battle with breast cancer. She enjoyed coloring and reading and spending time with her family.

Abby leaves behind her husband of 15 years Matthew Mears and her only child, Elijah Mears, who was her world. Also surviving are her siblings; Brad Campbell (Amanda), Eric Campbell (Shannon), Robert Campbell Jr., Michael Letto, Anthony Letto (Nicole), Rosemary Letto, Diane Shlegel (Marcus), Anissa Letto, Lisa Kiss (Dave) and Carrie Letto, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street E, Girard, on Monday August 28, 2023, from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. David Seastone and the entire staff at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for the wonderful care they have given over the years.
