Curtis Lee Robinette age 41, of Erie passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at LECOM following a two year battle with cancer.
He was born in Toledo, OH on September 2, 1979 a son of Martha Riewaldt of Toledo, OH and the late Ellsworth M. Robinette.
He was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales School and Slippery Rock University. Curtis was the varsity water polo coach at Mercyhurst University for the past 19 years, where he had received several NCAA awards for water polo coaching.
His family meant the world to him and was his biggest joy. He enjoyed sailing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Molly Gorny Robinette; his children, Owen, Finn, and Poppy Robinette; two sisters, Hallie Sagen and her husband Dale of Medina, OH; and Hannah Furco and her husband TJ of Buckeye, AZ; his grandmother, Marilyn Shaffer of Toledo; his mother and father in law, Greg and M’Lynn Gorny; nephew, Bennett Sagen; three nieces, Ava and Emery Sagen, and Fiona Furco; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. Erie.
