Curtis Bickel

Curtis Bickel, age 63, of Lake City passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his residence after a 20 year battle with heart disease. 

He was born in Grove City, PA on November 22, 1953, a son of the late Doris and Robert Bickel.

Before his illness Curtis was Chief Electrician with PHB Inc. for 18 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed grilling and the outdoors, and adored his two dogs, Chiyo and Lady.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Bickel.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Roxanne Hammond Bickel; two daughters, Holly Bickel of Erie and Rachel Bickel and her husband, Daniel Viltsek of Vancouver, BC, and his beautiful granddaughter, Netta.  He is further survived by his brother Robert Bickel and wife Linda of Missouri, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Saturday from1 pm until the time of the service at 2 pm.
