Curtis (Curt) Aggers, age 92, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at Manchester Commons.
He was born in McKean March 1, 1932. He was the son of the late August and Elma (Porter) Aggers. He lived in McKean most of his life.
Curt was a graduate of McKean Joint High. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He went on to own and operate Service Station and Towing Services for 34 years. He was a member of Oasis Lodge #416 of Edinboro, McKean Lion Club, American Legion Post #0773, and Elk Club #67, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2012; a son, Curtis J. in 1991; and two brothers Robert and August J.
Curt is survived by his daughter, Tammy Esser, and her husband Chuck, of FL; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild; a son, William Mason and his wife Beth, of Erie; two brothers, Dean Aggers and his wife, Martha, and Gerald Aggers.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie on Friday, September 6th from 3 until 7 PM. And are invited to attend a funeral service there on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
