Craig Randall (Randy) Deering, age 59, of Erie, passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015 after battling a lifelong illness.
He was born in Erie on August 23, 1956, a son of the late Raymond Deering Jr. and Jean Giblin Deering.
He graduated from East High School Class of 1974 and acquired an associate degree from Gannon University in Mechanical Engineering.
He worked for Lord Corporation for more than 30 years as a machinist before retiring in 2007.
Craig was a great fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He loved his children, Collin and Miranda, more than anything in life.
Surviving Craig are his son Collin Deering (Hannah), his daughter Miranda Deering (Jason), brother Terry (Ray) Deering III (Ellen) all of Erie, and his former wife of 22 years, Heather.
He is further survived by his uncle, Walter Giblin, niece Lindsay Meighan (Jon), nephews Michael Deering (Molly), Ryan McKelvey (Heidi), and Matthew McKelvey (Meghan), as well as many cousins.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m and are invited to attend a service there in the Burton All Faith’s Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
