Connor Young

Connor Young, age 7 months, of West Springfield passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2024, at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, surrounded by his family after a two-week battle with streptococcus pneumoniae meningitis.

He was born in Erie on July 17, 2023, the son of Coltyn Young and Sarah Manross.

Connor was a premature happy baby, growing into a happy, fun-loving little boy with a contagious belly laugh and smile.  His body just didn’t have the strength to fight this illness.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ashley Cornwell; and his great grandparents, Betty Rotkovecz and William Myhoffer, and William Cornwell.

In addition to his parents, Conner is survived by his siblings, Levi Young, Alaya Schwab, and Camry Young. He will continue to be held in the hearts of his grandparents, Vicki and Scott Corbitt, and Erinn and James Manross. He will be forever loved and missed by his aunts, Bethany, Carissa, Norah, Amelia, Vaida, Brittany (Mike), and Alora; as well as his uncles, Daltyn (Amanda), Tyler, Aiden, and Scotti. He will be treasured in the hearts of all his extended family members from his great aunts and uncles to his cousins, his great grandparents and great great grandparents and everyone in between.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the loving staff at Rainbow Babies & Children for their care of Connor and his family and will be forever grateful to Emma’s Footprints for their support.

Friends may call on the family on Saturday, March 16^th from 2 to 4pm at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard.
