Connie Canfield

Connie Canfield, age 77 of Erie, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Friday, May 5, 2017.

She was born in Erie, PA on February 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Frank and Rose Breckley Dylewski.

Connie attended McKean Elementary School and graduated from McKean High School.

She was a clerical supervisor for the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for 32 years.

Connie was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church for more than 40 years.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, water aerobics, spending time with family and friends, and caregiving.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Dylewski, a niece Carinn Willison, two nephews Adam and Craig Dylewski, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include two daughters: Christine Cleary (Thomas), and Debra Savelli (Brian); grandchildren: Benjamin and Angela Cleary, Rachel Cleary and Brian Franz, Nathaniel Cleary, Samuel Cleary and Daniel Cleary; brothers and sisters: Frank  Dylewski (Carole), David Dylewski, Frederick  Dylewski (Shirley), Patricia Butala (Michael), Robert  Dylewski (Gail), Becky Larson (David), Kenneth Dylewski (Cheryl). Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8800 West Main Rd. McKean, on Saturday from 11:00a.m until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. John Detisch celebrant. Internment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
