Colleen Gant

Colleen Gant, age 42, of Erie, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. She was born in Albany, NY on November 22, 1973, daughter of John Briggs and the late Patricia Stone Briggs.

Colleen was a member of the 1991 graduating class of Strong Vincent High School. She was kind-hearted, giving and funny yet very stubborn. Colleen enjoyed vegetable gardening, watching the Food Network and was a Nascar and football fan. Above all, her greatest love was her daughters and her grandchildren.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Briggs, her sister, Denise Briggs, her in-laws, Lynn and Kirk McDonald and her sister-in-law Kathy Distrola.

In addition to her father, Colleen is survived by her husband Richard and daughters, Angelina and Tiffany Gant, all of Erie, as well as her grandchildren, Stella Morrill-Gant, Hailey Drayer, Alivia Smith and Azrael Morrill. She is further survived by her sisters, Teresa Briggs, Deborah (George) Menzie, Wendy (John) Kavelish, and Cindy (Scott) Wilson, brothers-in-law, Frank (Kim) Gant and Mike (Shannon) McDonald and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Sunday, September 25th at 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm.
