Clyde Shallenberger

Clyde R. Shallenberger age 80, of Millcreek passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on February 11, 1940 a son of the late George and Lillian Graves Shallenberger.

Clyde worked as a welder for many years and worked at Boyers, Litton Ship Yard, GE and American Sterilizer.

He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, playing poker on Tuesdays, bowling and eating pies. Clyde was a huge joker who was very handy and would help anyone with anything. He especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary M. Shallenberger; a brother, Wesley Shallenberger; a sister, Winnnie DeDinisio; and his in-laws who he was very close with.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Judith Short Shallenberger; two sons, Bob (Laura)  Shallenberger and Mark (Terry) Shallenberger; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Berchtold; daughter in law, Sue Shallenberger; 7 grandchildren, Phillip Shallenberger, Ashley Mattiaucci, Steven Shallenberger, Elisha Duell, Brandon Shall, Kyle Berchtold and Brittany Redditt; 9 great grandchildren, Aria and Alina Mattiaucci, Rhett, Ryder, Spencer and Sawyer Shallenberger, Olivia and Tessa Duell and Carson Redditt; four brothers, Tom, David, Larry and Glenn Shallenberger; and three sisters, Maryann Donato, Mae Mickel and Donna Meyers. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street, on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. The services will be livestreamed and can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott/ Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
