Clara Boone

 CLARA G. BOONE (MOTHER) born February 6, 1935, in Jackson TN, to Levi and Louise Jordan Yarbrough (deceased), entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2021, at her home in Erie PA. 

Clara G Boone, was an amazing woman. Her smile and infectious laughter was contiguous and filled her children’s heart with joy. She dressed with flare and sophistication and of course, passed that fabulous style on to her children. Mother’s friendship meant so much to her oldest daughter. Mother also had a special first time love for her Filipino daughter-in-law. She enjoyed her daughter-in-law’s cooking, especially egg rolls, rice and pancit. Her favorite foods were turnip greens and barbecue skins from her hometown Jackson, Tennessee. She loved her grandchildren and going on family outings. Among various jobs, mother worked with children at Saint Martin’s daycare. She was a hard worker and provided for her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Shelly Boone, son Cottrell Granberry, daughter Kimberly Granberry and Stephine Boone, grandsons Christopher Granberry, Marcell Fleming, a brother Harry Yarbrough, three sisters Lela Mae Hodges, Lucille Rosendery Jones and Barbara Jean Yarbrough Arrington. 

She leave to cherish in her memory four sons Allen (Violeta), Timothy (Tina) Donald and Mark (Valerie) Granberry and three daughters Denise (Johnny) Granberry, Victoria (Steven) Ampatey and Sherrie Taylor. A brother Michael Yarbrough and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

We are thankful that she was our mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. 

Friends may call at Word of Life Christian Center on Saturday, May 22^nd from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc, Downtown, 602 W. 10^th St., Erie
